Ride status, from request to completion

A plain-language walkthrough of every stage a ride goes through, from the moment it's requested to when it's completed.

A ride moves through a set sequence of stages from the moment a rider requests it to the moment it ends. Here's what each one means, in order.

  1. RequestedA rider has asked for a trip and the platform is looking for a nearby driver to offer it to. No driver is assigned yet.
  2. AcceptedA driver has accepted the offer. The rider now sees that driver's name, photo, plate, and ETA.
  3. Driver on the wayThe driver is en route to the pickup location. The rider can track the driver's position in real time.
  4. Driver arrivedThe driver has reached the pickup point and is waiting for the rider.
  5. Trip in progressThe rider is in the vehicle and the trip has started toward the destination.
  6. CompletedThe trip has ended at the destination. Your earnings for the trip are recorded once it's marked completed.

Cancellations

A ride can also be cancelled — by the rider or by you — during some of the earlier stages, before the trip is in progress. If that happens, the app will show the ride's status as cancelled and you'll be free to go back online for a new offer.

These same stage names are what you'll see throughout the app and in your ride history, so it's worth knowing them by heart.
