Understanding ride tiers and fares

Ryde shows you a vehicle category and an upfront price before you request — here's how tiers, pricing, and demand affect what you pay.

When you set a destination in the Ryde app, you'll see a list of ride tiers available in your area — different vehicle types at different price points, so you can pick what fits your trip.

What tiers are available

Common tiers include an everyday economical option, a more comfortable car, and a larger vehicle for groups or extra luggage. Exactly which tiers you see depends on your city — not every category is available everywhere, and Ryde always shows live pricing so you know exactly what's on offer before you request.

Upfront pricing

Ryde shows you the price of your trip before you confirm — not an estimate you find out later. That price is based on the distance, the estimated time, and current demand in your area.

Prices can rise during periods of high demand, like rush hour or bad weather. If demand pricing applies, you'll see it reflected in the price shown before you confirm — you're never charged more than what you agreed to when you requested.

Currency

In the Dominican Republic, all fares are shown and charged in Dominican pesos (DOP).
