How to book a ride with Ryde
Request a ride in a few taps: set your destination, choose a vehicle tier, and track your driver in real time.
Getting a ride with Ryde takes less than a minute. Open the app, tell us where you're going, pick the type of vehicle you want, and confirm — you'll see a nearby driver on the way to pick you up.
- Set your destinationOpen the Ryde app and enter where you're going. You can type an address, drop a pin on the map, or choose from your saved places.
- Confirm your pickup pointRyde suggests a pickup location based on your GPS position. You can drag the pin to adjust it if you're somewhere GPS gets confused, like inside a mall or a gated complex.
- Choose a ride tierYou'll see the vehicle categories available near you, each with an upfront price and estimated pickup time. Pick the one that fits your trip and your budget.
- Confirm and requestReview the price and route, then confirm. Ryde starts matching you with a nearby driver right away.
- Track your driverOnce you're matched, you'll see your driver's name, photo, vehicle, and license plate, plus their live location and ETA on the map.
You don't need the app to book a ride — you can also request one from a web browser. Your trip, fare, and driver details work the same way either way.
What happens after you request
Ryde looks for the closest available driver and sends them your trip details. If no driver is available right away, the app keeps searching — you can cancel at any time before you're matched with no charge.
