The Ryde AI Assistant
What Ryde AI can help you with, what it can see, and why it always checks with you before it does anything.
Ryde AI is the in-app chat assistant you'll find across the rider, driver, merchant, and service provider experience. It's tailored to whichever role you're using — a rider and a merchant see very different capabilities when they open it.
What you can ask, by role
| Role | What you can ask |
|---|---|
| Rider | Find a restaurant, get a ride quote, ask it to start a food order for you. |
| Driver | Check your stats, ask about referral rewards, review recent trips. |
| Merchant | Ask about today's orders, inventory risk, or your earnings — and have it draft changes to your hours, your Open switch, your store details, prices and products for you to confirm. |
| Service provider | The same as a merchant, plus questions about your bookings and packages. |
Guest mode
If you don't have an account yet, you still get a lighter version of Ryde AI. It can help you browse restaurants and services and get quotes, and it'll usually offer you a discount to sign up — but it can't see or touch any account, because you don't have one yet.
It always confirms before it acts
Ryde AI can look up real information from your account and take some actions when you ask it to. It will never charge you or take a sensitive action without clearly checking with you first.
Changes to your store: it drafts, you confirm
If you run a store or offer services, you can ask Ryde AI to make a change for you — "open at 10 on Mondays", "mark the empanadas sold out", "raise the large pizza to 350". It never makes the change on its own. It shows a card with exactly what will change, the old value next to the new one, and two buttons: Confirm and Cancel. Nothing changes until you tap Confirm.
- What it can prepare: your posted opening hours, the Open switch, your store's name, description and phone; a product's price, sold-out state, name or description, or a new product; and a team member's role, name, phone or email, or turning them off and back on.
- Adding a person: ask "add Maria as a cashier" and it opens Team & PINs with her name and role filled in. You type her 4-digit PIN and tap Save — Ryde AI never asks for, sees or sets a PIN.
- What it will not touch: deleting anything, stock counts, recipes, price lists, promotions, photos, PINs and permissions, payouts, refunds or any money. For those it opens the right screen for you.
- The card checks your work: if a new price is more than five times higher or lower than the old one, it says so before you confirm.
- A card expires after 10 minutes, and asking for a new change replaces the previous card. Typing "yes" does not apply anything — only the Confirm button does.
Confirm runs with the permissions of whoever is signed in on that device. A cashier can mark an item sold out but cannot change a price or anyone's role; a manager may need another manager's PIN for store settings, exactly as on the Settings screen; and someone whose shift is still open cannot be turned off until it is closed. Products managed by a connected system such as Loyverse or Shopify are changed there, and Ryde AI will say so.
