Safety and trust
How Ryde verifies drivers, couriers, and service providers, what you can see about your driver before a ride, and how to share your trip or reach support.
Safety runs through everything Ryde does — from who's allowed to drive or deliver, to what you can see and do during a ride or a service visit.
Everyone who earns on Ryde is verified first
Drivers, couriers, and service providers — including anyone who might come into your home for a service booking — go through identity verification and document checks before they're allowed to start earning on Ryde. This includes things like a license, government ID, and other background-relevant documents. Most reviews happen automatically, and anything that needs a closer look is escalated to a real person before that driver, courier, or provider is approved.
What you can see before getting in the car
Before your driver arrives, you can see their real name, their photo, and their vehicle's license plate right in the app — so you can confirm you're getting into the right car before you get in.
Share your trip
You can share your trip in real time with someone you trust directly from the app, so they can follow your route while it's happening.
If something doesn't feel right
If anything about a ride, delivery, or service visit feels off, you can reach support from the Help section of the app.
Verification, trip details, and trip sharing all work the same way whether you're requesting a ride, a delivery, or a home service.
