How food delivery driving works

If you’re new to earning with Ryde, you’ll need to sign up as a driver, upload the required documents and a photo, and wait for a person to approve your file. Once you are active, you can begin receiving delivery requests. The app walks you through each job.

Here’s what you need to start delivering with Ryde

There are many ways to deliver with Ryde: with a car, a scooter, or a bicycle—or even on foot. Each way has different requirements.

With a bike or on foot

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a government-issued ID
  • Upload a profile photo so customers can recognize you

With a motorbike or scooter

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid driver’s license in your name
  • Upload photos of the vehicle you will use

With a car

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a 2-door or 4-door vehicle
  • Have a valid driver’s license in your name
  • Upload vehicle photos so we can confirm the car

What are the requirements to deliver with Ryde?

Requirements depend on how you deliver. On foot or by bike you need to be at least 18 and have a government-issued ID. Motor vehicles also need a valid driver’s license in your name and vehicle photos. When you sign up, the app tells you exactly which documents to upload.

How does Ryde address safety?

Every pickup and drop-off is confirmed with an OTP, trips are GPS-tracked, and the app includes an emergency assistance button. See Ryde’s commitment to safety. See delivery safety.

Does my vehicle qualify?

Most 2-door and 4-door cars qualify. You can also deliver by scooter, bike, or on foot in cities where those modes are available.

How much will I make?

You see the fare before you accept. Earnings come from the delivery fee, promotions when they run, and tips — you keep 100% of tips. Payouts land on a regular schedule you can request from the app.

How long does it take to sign up?

Create your profile and upload your documents in the app. A person reviews the file; once you are approved you can go online and take delivery requests.
