Yes. There is no monthly fee, no licence, no setup cost and no per-device charge. Add as many registers and staff accounts as your business needs. Ryde earns a commission on delivery orders and a small commission on the sales you ring up at the till — nothing else.
What exactly do I pay?
Two things, both a percentage and never a fixed bill: a commission on each delivery order Ryde brings you, and a small commission on each sale processed through the POS. Both rates are shown to you before you start selling and every charge appears line by line in your earnings ledger.
What hardware do I need?
Any tablet, phone or computer with a browser. Ryde POS also talks to the hardware you probably already own: ESC/POS receipt printers, kitchen printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers. Nothing is proprietary and nothing has to be bought from us.
Does it keep working when the internet drops?
Yes. Every sale carries a unique ticket id created on the device before it reaches the network, so a sale made during an outage is sent once and only once when the connection returns — a retry can never charge a customer twice.
How do delivery orders reach my POS?
They arrive in the same order stream as your counter tickets and print in the same kitchen. Ryde Eats, shop and courier orders show up on the same screen your staff already use, so there is no second tablet on the counter.
